General
Both EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager run on Joomla 5.4+ or Joomla 6.0/6.1 with PHP 8.1 or higher (Joomla 6 itself requires PHP 8.3+). The same package installs on both versions without needing the Backward Compatibility 6 plugin. Not compatible with Joomla 3, 4 or Joomla 5.0–5.3.
Yes. EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager are completely independent components. They work great together — use Frontend UserManager to manage users and groups, and EasyLearn for your courses — but neither requires the other.
Yes. Both extensions use standard Joomla output with Bootstrap 5 classes. They work with any Joomla 5.4+ or Joomla 6 compatible template. EasyLearn also includes customizable color themes that adapt to your site design.
English (en-GB) is the default language. Language packs are available for Danish, French and German. All strings use standard Joomla language files, so you can also create your own translation. Community translations are welcome.
Yes. You can install the extension on any number of sites. Your subscription tier determines how many domains are covered by support and updates: Single (1 website), Professional (up to 5 websites) or Developer (unlimited websites). The extension itself works regardless of your plan.
Yes — there is a free live demo at demo.lolkv.com where you can try both EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager, frontend and backend, with no signup. Log in with one of the shared demo accounts shown on the demo's front page and explore freely — take a course, earn a certificate, create your own course, or manage users and groups. The whole site resets to a clean state automatically every few hours, so you can't break anything.
Licensing & pricing
A subscription gives you:

- Access to technical support in the help desk
The extension continues to work on your site — it does not stop functioning. However, you will no longer receive updates or have access to technical support. You can renew at any time to regain access to new versions and support.
There is no time-limited trial download, but you can try everything for free in the live demo at demo.lolkv.com — both EasyLearn and Frontend UserManager, frontend and backend, with no signup (see “Can I try it before buying?” above). You can also browse detailed feature descriptions, screenshots and this FAQ before purchasing. And if a purchased extension does not meet your needs, contact us within 14 days for a refund.
Yes. All renewals receive a 20% discount on the regular price. The discount is applied automatically when you renew your subscription.
Updates & support
After installation, enter your download key in the extension settings. Updates then appear in Joomla's Extension Manager → Update like any other extension. One click to update. Your download key must be active (subscription not expired) for updates to be available.
Your download key is available in your account area at lolkv.com --> My site after purchase. It is also included in your order confirmation email.
Active subscribers can post technical questions in the help desk.
No. All updates use Joomla's standard
method="upgrade" installation. Your data, settings and configuration are preserved. Database migrations are handled automatically during the update process.EasyLearn
Yes. EasyLearn supports multi-tenant setups using Joomla user groups. Each organization only sees their own courses, students and statistics. Permissions are controlled per course, category and instructor.
Lessons are built with content blocks. Available types: text (rich HTML editor), video (upload MP4/WebM), embedded video (YouTube/Vimeo), audio (MP3/WAV/etc.) and quiz. You can mix and match blocks in any order.
Yes. You can set a validity period per course (or inherit from category/global settings). When a certificate expires, the student can renew it by completing specified lessons or passing the exam again. Configurable email reminders are sent before and after expiry.
Yes, through Joomla user groups. With Auto-Enrollment you pair a user group with one or more courses. When a member pays and Membership Pro adds them to that group, EasyLearn automatically enrolls them in the linked course(s) — optionally with a customisable enrollment email. Because it is built on standard Joomla user groups, the same approach works with any extension that assigns user groups (Membership Pro, RSMembership, PayPlans and others), with no custom development. Frontend UserManager
No. Frontend UserManager works with Joomla's existing user system. It reads and writes to the same
#__users, #__usergroups and #__viewlevels tables. Changes made in Frontend UserManager are immediately visible in the Joomla backend, and vice versa.When enabled, the username field is hidden and automatically set to the user's email address. This simplifies registration and login. The included plugin extends this behavior to Joomla's own profile and registration forms as well.
Yes, in hierarchical mode. An administrator can only see and manage users and groups within their own branch of the group tree. For example, a school admin can manage teachers and students in their school, but not in other schools.
